Welcome!
This
site is dedicated to Battlefield 1942, which
is a breath of fresh air and certainly a video game any first-person
shooting fan shouldnt be without : 16 huge maps based upon the
WW2 most famous battles, multiplayer mode with up to 64 players, exhilarating
mix of realism and arcade fun, a lot of vehicles to drive, a great variety
of roles and an interesting tactical aspect.
Let me start by telling you what
you won't find on this site.
First, no game
overview. If you wish to know more about the game or if you want
to look at screenshots, go to visit the official
site. And to learn the basic rules, just read the manual first (you
bought the game, didn't you ?). It's useless to repeat what they say.
Next, no regular news. It's not a big deal, because plenty of
web sites already do that : BF
Match, Command
Central, BF1942
Online or BF
Nation.
Finally, no discussion board. It would be useless to compete
with existing forums. If you are looking for one, please visit the sites
above or go to the "official"
forum (the place where the DICE developers used to post).
Hu,
you planned to do an empty site ? Well, not exactly. Actually,
what i want to put on this site : first, the historical
background of the game (the real battles, the vehicles, the weapons).
The content may change at irregular intervals, depends on my mood and
my time constraints. I was going to put one of those "web site
under construction" signs up but everyone knows that web sites
are always under construction.
Have a good read.
